Come Check out the Tulsa, OK NWS Office!

Ever wondered the place your local warnings come from for Northeastern Oklahoma and Northwest Arkansas? Now you can see for yourself! This Saturday, September 20, the National Weather Service office in Tulsa will be hosting an open house! It will be held from 9AM-1PM. They are going to have a variety of things to see and do, including:


  • A Tornado Machine
  • Watershed Model
  • Historical Weather Instrument Display
  • Posters on numerous local weather events
  • Tours of the office where official warnings are issued
  • Your questions answered by the professionals at the NWS
  • Personnel from the U.S. Geological Survey
  • NOAA Weather Radio Programming

Everyone is welcome, and I'd encourage you to come check it out! If you don't know where the NWS office is, here is the address:
